The mission of MCHA is to provide advocacy, prevention, and supportive services to populations impacted by HIV/AIDS through community planning, maximization of resources, and assurance of quality interventions and services.
Our OUTCOMES goal is defined both in quantitative and qualitative terms. In numerical terms, we expect to see measurable decreases in incidences and rates of HIV/AIDS cases within the Mid-South. Qualitatively, MCHA wants its efforts to improve the quality of life those affected live on a daily basis.
The Mid-South Coalition on HIV/AIDS (MCHA) is the state-funded consortium for Fayette, Shelby, Tipton Counties (TN); Crittenden County (AR); and Desoto, Tunica, Tate, Marshall Counties (MS) that is located in Memphis, TN. MCHA is an association of health care and human service providers, HIV/AIDS prevention service providers, community based organizations, and persons infected or affected by HIV/AIDS, whose purpose is to serve the healthcare needs and support service needs of persons infected/affected by HIV/AIDS.
